Então está confirmado: o novo single chama-se mesmo "Greatest Day", realmente estreará nas rádios dia 13 de outubro e será lançado para venda no dia 24 de novembro.

Hum, acho que estão dando um espaço muito grande entre a primeira transmissão do single e o lançamento... Mais de um mês... Isso é normal? :pensa:

Mais informações: uma jonalista do Dayly Star já ouviu "Greatest Day" e conversou com os TT sobre o novo single e álbum.

TAKE IT AWAY LADS

DESPITE the success of their single Shine, Take That are too scared to release their next track without Gary Barlow on lead vocal.

Comeback album Beautiful World was a massive smash for the manband and Shine – which saw 36-year-old Mark Owen take the lead – earned a prestigious Ivor Novello award.

But they’ve decided to make Greatest Day the first single from their follow-up album as Gary, 37, is the lead singer on the track.

Gary, Mark, Jason Orange, 38, and Howard Donald, 40, invited me to the recording studio to hear Greatest Day.

It’s a cinematic-feeling track with lush production and picks up nicely from where Rule The World left off.

Jason admitted: “We have to go with a Gary lead track for the first single as it’s too risky for us not to.”

Mark added: “We discuss singles with the label and take advice from members of the press like you on what to put out.

“Shine was never meant to be the second single last time but we got such good feedback on it.”

Jason continued: “Everyone recognises Gary’s voice so it’s a safe bet – but next time we might take more risks.”

With each member of the band stepping up to provide lead vocals on Beautiful World, it’s good to see them sharing the spotlight.

And although they’ve been hard at work in the studio, the band have managed to squeeze in a bit of reality TV. Mark said: “I’ve been watching The X Factor and Cheryl’s girls are really good.

“I’m glad they’ve taken their time with Leon Jackson – his stuff is sounding excellent.”

I reckon Leon’s got to be happy with praise from a pop legend like Mark.

Greatest Day is out on November 24 and gets its first airing on UK radio on Monday at 8.15am.

As rádios estão liberadas para tocar a música a partir das 8:15h (horário de Londres) do dia 13 de outubro, segunda-feira. Isso deve incluir as rádios online, então também poderemos ouvir pela internet.

Aqui no Brasil seria a partir das 11:15h, correto? Vou tentar escutar online, provavelmente pela Radio 1 ( http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/ ).

Como a estréia está próxima, várias rádios já estão de posse do single, apesar de ainda não poderem tocá-lo. Então estão aparecendo pela internet alguns comentários de quem tem acesso a esse material das rádios e já escutou Greatest Day.

Ainda não vi nenhuma opinião negativa. Todas estão elogiando a música :joy:

, alguns até muito enfaticamente, dizendo que é a melhor música do TT até hoje... Acho isso muito exagero, mas bem que eu gostaria que fosse verdade.

Há algum tempo atrás foi noticiado que o Gary teria dito que havia uma música no novo álbum com a qual ele estava especialmente satisfeito e achava ainda melhor que Patience. Talvez seja esse primeiro single...

O que está me preocupando é que comentaram que o Gary nessa música está cantando mais alto (agudo) que o normal e que ela é lenta. (Porque essa mania de falsete? Gostamos de voz grave também, oras!)
Espero que seja uma música pop poderosa, como "Patience", "Shine" e "Rule The World" ou uma balada rock, como alguns disseram, mas que não seja "melancólica" e nem muito lenta, senão corre o risco de afundar como "I'd Wait For Life".

Eu até gostei, mas não achei tão boa quanto estavam alardeando e de jeito nenhum é tão "poderosa" quanto Patience e Rule The World. (E a qualidade da transmissão por rádio na internet também não ajuda...) :pensa:

Tem bastante daqueles "saltos" falsetinhos que o Gary parece gostar tanto. :roll:

E, sinceramente, achei a letra fraca e muito repetitiva...

Segundo a Music Week, "Greatest Day" está tocando bem nas rádios inglesas, com audiência estimada em mais de 30 milhões e já estreou na posição de número 15 das paradas. :clap:

After Chris Moyles at Radio One gave it its first airing last Monday (13th), Take That's new single Greatest Day quickly colonised radio, and ends its first week with more than 700 plays generating an audience of more than 30 million and a debut position of number 15.

It is the first track from the veteran boy band's upcoming album, The Circus, their second since they reconvened. Their last single Rule The World topped the airplay chart exactly a year ago this week and has never dipped out of the Top 100. Ditto Shine, which has been on the Top 100 continuosly since January 2007.

Impressionante a performance de "Rule The World" e "Shine" que ficaram no topo das paradas e até hoje ainda não saíram do top 100... :joy:

Ah, e relembrando: "Greatest Day" estará a venda a partir de 9 de novembro para donwload e 24 de novembro em CD. As pré-vendas já estão disponíveis na internet.

Já tem tempo que eu estava querendo colocar um post sobre o novo single, mas por problemas técnicos, eu não estava conseguindo logar.
Serei breve: Achei o single muito bom e o clip também. A grande preocupação foi só dos fãs quanto a qualidade da música, pois todos criaram muita espectativa.
O maior problema, está sendo a qualidade do material disponível. Quando tivermos um arquivo com audio de maior qualidade, dará para avaliar melhor a música.
