Take That, Britain's best-loved band, today confirmed that they're to hit the road next summer for a string of stadium dates around the UK.

Take That Present The Circus Live – Summer 2009, will see Gary, Howard, Mark and Jason embark on their biggest tour to date with a monumental eight stadium dates across the UK. The Circus - Live, promises to be the bands most visually dramatic, diverse and exhilarating tour yet.

Kicking off at Sunderland's fabled 'Stadium of Light on June 6, the band then travel to Cardiff's Millennium Stadium, Glasgow's Hampden Park, three nights in their home town of Manchester at Old Trafford and culminating with two nights at London's state of the art, Wembley Stadium.

Tickets go on sale on Friday 31 October at 9am.

When Gary Barlow, Howard Donald, Jason Orange and Mark Owen tentatively met up back in 2005 to discuss the possibility of making a TV documentary to mark 10 years since their split, none of them could have imagined the incredible journey they were about to embark upon.

The documentary was a ratings winner, attracting over seven million viewers, and as a direct result, on 25 November 2005, the band appeared at an official press conference to announce a British tour - their first in 10 years. The Ultimate Tour sold out in record time and saw the band play to over half a million euphoric fans around the nation winning critical and public acclaim.

And that was just the beginning. Take That's last album Beautiful World sold more than two and half million copies in the UK, making it their most successful record to date. The subsequent 2007 Beautiful World Tour smashed all box office records, selling over 370,000 tickets in less than two hours. Since reclaiming their place as Britain's best-loved band, Take That have played live to over a million people across the UK and Europe and the live DVDs they released in the wake of both tours were the biggest selling music titles of 2006 (The Ultimate Tour) and 2007 (Beautiful World Live). They have also won a string of prestigious awards including an Ivor Novello for single Shine with Mark Owen on lead vocals, and three Brit Awards: Best Single (2007) for Patience, Best Single (2008) for Shine and Best Live Act (2008).

Take That release their brand new album. The Circus, the long awaited follow-up to the nine times platinum Beautiful World, on 1 December through Polydor Records. The first single from the album, Greatest Day, is out on 24 November.

Mas eu não conheço ninguém na Inglaterra e não tenho coragem de ir sozinha. :-(

Além disso, deve ficar bem caro (passagens + estadia + ingressos), então duvido que teria condições de pagar. :cry:

Desta vez eles optaram por uma turnê em estádios ao invés de arenas... e só na Grá-Bretanha.
E, pelos comentários que estão circulando, estão planejando essa turnê para ter produção ainda maior que a da Beautiful World.

Por um lado, fazer shows em estádios é bom para a banda, pois eles conseguem se apresentar para mais gente e ganhar mais dinheiro com menos esforço. E não é todo mundo que consegue encher estádios. isso dá mais status e credibilidade à banda (se a lotação for boa).
O lado bom para os fãs é que há mais ingressos disponíveis e com preços menores.

O lado ruim é que estádios são grandes demais, a maioria do público fica muito longe do palco para conseguir ver direito e a qualidade do som costuma ser inferior à dos shows de arena. :-(

Eu ouvi uma entrevista bem recente em que o Howard disse que havia a possibilidade deles fazerem uma turnê no continente também, no final de 2009 (provavelmente outubro/novembro).
Acho que eles provavelmente vão ver como serão as vendas dos ingressos da turnê britância primeiro, para avaliar se valeria a pena uma turnê no continente...

Ontem começou a venda de ingressos e o Take That já está batendo records de venda. :joy:

The Circus Live - Summer 2009 tornou-se a turnê de venda mais rápida da história da Grã-Bretanha, batendo o record da turnê Bad do Michael Jackson (1987). Segundo a divulgação, em pouco tempo 350.000 ingressos já haviam sido vendidos e, ontem mesmo, 600.000 ingressos foram vendidos em menos de 5 horas.

Só para dar um exemplo do quanto os ingressos estão concorridos: o show programado para Glascow, na Escócia, teve seus 50.000 ingressos esgotados em menos de 30 minutos. E mais um show no Hampden Park foi acrescentado à turnê.

Inicialmente, a turnê teria 8 shows em estádios britânicos mas, em virtude do sucesso de venda dos ingressos, mais 4 shows foram acrescentados, perfazendo um total de 12 apresentações, todas em estádios. :shock:

Já a algum tempo k ñ vinha ate aki.. espero que esteja tudo bem como vocês todos.
Isto por aki anda ma doideira.. os Take That vem a Madrid já no dia 12 de Dezembro aos 40 principales, como ñ podia deixar de ser, lá vamos nos para mais uma jornada, na esperança de conseguir, mais uma vez, estar junto deles.
A venda dos bilhetes que bateram mais um recorde, coisa á qual os nosso babys já nos habituaram, é verdade

Alguém daki esta a apensar ir a alguma das datas em Inglaterra? Eu com a atrapalhação e os sites sempre a bloquear, em vez de comprar 2 bilhetes acabei por comprar 4!! Por isso se alguém estiver interessado, tenho dois bilhetes para dia 3 de Julho em Wembley – Londres no level 5 (sentado). Vendo pelo preço k eles me custaram a mim 49.50£ (cada um) mais 4.80£ de despesas.
